“Astra Bioplant” project begins in 2007 with the design and construction of a modern plant for the production of vegetable oils and biodiesel. It complies with all the rules and requirements of the European Community. The company started its operations in 2009. The production plant allows a capacity of 60 000 tons of biodiesel per year.

The Company is active in the production of biodiesel and pharmaceutical grade glycerine. The production capacity of the plant is 100 000 tons of biodiesel and 10 000 tons of glycerine per year. The site is situated on a part of the territory of the Danube Industrial Zone TEGRA, on the very bank of the Danube River.
