Sustainability
The world is boldly embarking on a transformation towards an ecological circular economy, and Bullmarket is a leader in this regard, producing and trading environmentally friendly fuels and transporting the produce with the most modern and clean means of transport. Our biodiesel reduces harmful emissions on a daily basis.
From an environmental perspective, the Bulmarket Group is looking for solutions to improve its carbon footprint by improving work processes, using more efficient raw materials and reducing energy consumption, waste in its offices and optimizing its Scope 1 footprint.
Our “Strategy for ESG and a Sustainable Future” contains 39 measures to improve the environmental performance of companies with the goal of neutrality in terms of CO2 and GHG emissions by 2035.
OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS SOME OF THE MORE IMPORTANT ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN BY THE COMPANY ARE:
Acquisition Of 6 New Electric Locomotives Of The Latest Generation

Building An Ozonator To Accept Odors
learn more
Purification of production odors and waste water with ozonators is an effective solution implemented by the Bulmarket Group.
Generators have been installed in the production premises to produce ozone on the principle of cold plasma using a high-voltage current. It passes through the two chimneys and the scrubbers, reaching them within 2-3 seconds. In contact with the exhaust air, ozone kills odors and fungi. After 3 hours, the ozone turns back into oxygen.
The ozone producing generators themselves have a capacity of 1 kg per hour, which contains a different number of reactors. Ozone is one of the best solutions for removing pollutants, toxic gases and odors because it oxidizes (disinfects) and then self-decomposes to oxygen. For several decades, ozone has been an excellent alternative for cleaning the environment, certainly more attractive and safer than traditional methods that use chemicals.
The technology is outstanding in the long-lasting removal of bad odors and allergens and microorganisms. The process itself lasts about 1 hour, and the air is nearly 98% pure.
Rehabilitation And Modernization Of A Water Treatment Plant
learn more
The rehabilitation and modernization of the water treatment plant is of utmost importance for the Bulmarket Group due to the intensity of production activities and increased attention to the ecological footprint that is left behind.
The rehabilitation of the water treatment plant allows for the renewal of outdated and worn facilities, resulting in a significant improvement in water quality. Modern technologies and materials allow more effective removal of contaminants and microorganisms, which guarantees safe and clean water after every operation.
The modernization of the station includes the implementation of energy-efficient technologies and equipment. This results in reduced energy and maintenance costs while increasing the company’s sustainability. Investing in new technology can pay off quickly through significant savings in the long run.
Modernized water treatment plants use technologies that minimize the negative impact on the environment. For example, reducing the use of chemicals and optimizing treatment processes leads to less waste and cleaner water sources. This is in line with our global efforts for sustainable development and conservation of natural resources.
Construction Of Solar Power Plants On The Roofs Of Production Enterprises For Own Consumption
learn more
The Bulmarket Group has successfully completed the first stage of the installation of photovoltaic power at the plant in the city of Clivo Pole Pyce.
The power plant has a power of 500 HP and will be used entirely for the company’s operational needs. With this investment, “Actpa Bioplant” expects to produce 700 mBh of energy annually and to save about 350 tons of carbon emissions.
The ambition of the “Bilmapĸet” Company is to start all of its initiatives using renewable energy from its own production. The next stage of the effort is expected to increase the power to 2 megawatts of power and thus contribute to the reduction of over 1,400 tons of carbon emissions per year.
With such a rapidly changing environment, it is of the utmost importance that we improve our efficiency and continue to be the security leader in South-Eastern Europe. We believe that in the long run, these investments will contribute to a cleaner and significantly better environment.
By 2026, our goal is to encourage the importers responsible for the largest share of carbon emissions in the international shipping network to set their own climate targets.
Launching Of A Green Ring Project Around Tegra Industrial Area
learn more
The launch of a green ring project around Tegra Industrial Zone is extremely important for several key reasons:
Improving the microclimate
Vegetation in the green ring helps regulate temperatures, reducing the effect of urban heat islands that are created in industrial areas. This results in a more pleasant microclimate, lowering the temperature on hot summer days and reducing the need for air conditioning, which also contributes to energy efficiency.
Reduction of noise pollution
Green rings can effectively absorb and reduce noise pollution coming from industrial activities. This is of particular importance to improve the working environment in the industrial area and to protect the residents of nearby settlements from excessive noise.
Aesthetic and psychological benefits
The green rings around the industrial zones significantly improve the visual appearance of the area. A beautiful and well-maintained green area creates a more pleasant work environment and can increase worker morale and productivity. In addition, green spaces have been shown to have positive effects on mental health, reducing stress and improving general well-being.
Biodiversity and environmental sustainability
The creation of a green ring around the industrial area provides a habitat for various species of flora and fauna, which supports biodiversity. This area can serve as an ecological corridor that connects different natural habitats and helps protect native species.
