With over 1,700 employees, the Bulmarket Group is becoming a leading employer in Bulgaria. This growth also requires a more structured approach to caring for our family and the communities in which we participate. By creating clear corporate rules and providing flexible opportunities for work, training and development, the Bulmarket Group continues to upgrade its policies in the field of social and corporate governance.

As a company with a 28-year history, our social responsibility aims to be an example both to other companies and to everyone who touches our culture. In our new strategy, the Social Responsibility section contains 37 specific measures to improve social activities in and around the Bulmarket Group and make it a preferred employer and partner in the country.

CREATION OF A CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING – BULMARKET ACADEMY

In March 2023, Bulmarket inaugurated the Bulmarket Academy – Center for Vocational Training (CVT) in Ruse. After nearly a year of preparation, the academy officially launched with the mission of training specialists in various fields to meet the needs of both the company and the regional industry. The center features three modern classrooms and workshops for hands-on training. Theoretical lessons are conducted by lecturers from Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, while practical training is led by experienced Bulmarket employees. The initial training programs cover electrical engineering and energy, motor vehicles, mechanical engineering, and chemical technologies. The academy offers opportunities for full professional qualification, partial qualification, and refresher courses, actively contributing to the development of the regional workforce.

In April 2022, a STEM Center for Eco-Innovations was inaugurated at the “Geo Milev” English Language High School in Ruse. Spanning 500 square meters, the center comprises four research units: “Nature and Health,” “Technology and Engineering,” “Information Technology and Communications,” and “Sustainable Development.” It provides a modern learning environment for independent research, experiments, and teamwork on various projects.

The project was implemented under the National Program “Building a School STEM Environment” by the Ministry of Education and Science, with co-funding from Astra Bioplant Ltd. and the school’s own financial resources. The total project cost amounted to 386,909 BGN, of which 300,000 BGN were provided by the national program, 21,773.50 BGN by Astra Bioplant Ltd., and 65,135.61 BGN from the school’s budget.

The STEM Center is designed for use in both general and specialized education in natural sciences, information technology, visual arts, and foreign languages. It also serves as a collaborative space for interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular clubs.

On May 13, 2022, in celebration of its 26th anniversary, Bulmarket gifted the people of Ruse a festive gala concert. The event took place in the square in front of the Ruse State Opera and featured performances by the opera’s orchestra and ballet, conducted by Maestro Dimitar Kosev. The program included works by Johann Strauss II, Imre Kálmán, Luigi Arditi, and other renowned composers.

Among the soloists were Daniela Karaivanova, Teodora Chukurska, Alexander Baranov, Petar Kostov, Boris Lukov, Teodor Petkov, and Neli Petkova. The concert attracted a large audience of locals and visitors, who enjoyed the exceptional performances and festive atmosphere.
