Sustainable Future
Sustainability
Since its inception, the Bulmarket Group has focused on the market for alternative and ecological fuels. Providing cleaner and more sustainable products, their efficient and ecological transportation and the development of new improved products is part of our philosophy. We believe that we demonstrate our corporate responsibility through the quality of our products, processes, policies and approaches in every area of our business. The Bulmarket Group provides fuels that support and assist the process of reaching climate neutrality.
Our significantly greener and cleaner biofuels, efficient transport solutions and incessant desire to become better allows our customers, employees and partners to benefit from the positive impact of our products.
With over 1,700 employees, the Bulmarket Group is becoming a leading employer in Bulgaria. This growth also requires a more structured approach to caring for our family and the communities in which we participate. By creating clear corporate rules and providing flexible opportunities for work, training and development, the Bulmarket Group continues to upgrade its policies in the field of social and corporate governance.
FROM WASTE TO FUEL:
The Bulmarket Group is working hard to increase the production of second generation biodiesel. Second generation biodiesel is produced from waste – frying oils, animal fats and other waste distilled oils. This biofuel generates more than 10 times less harmful emissions compared to mineral fuels. The development of network of suppliers and different raw materials from which to produce quality biofuels is a daily process in the Bulmarket group that is diversified, clearly traceable from source to supplier and secure.
The activities on logistics and transport services offered by the Bullmarket Group are also transformed annually. The companies in the group renew their rolling stock regularly. In 2022, new electric locomotives and LNG tractors were acquired, with which we proceed to increasingly environmentally friendly transport alternatives.
The theme of sustainability, care for nature, employees and all stakeholders has permanently become a major factor in decision-making in the group since the creation of our ESG strategy for a sustainable future 2021-2026.
ESG Strategy for a Sustainable Future
In 2021, the Bulmarket Group started work on building a comprehensive strategy for sustainability, becoming one of the first private Bulgarian companies with such a strategy. With our ESG strategy for a sustainable future (2021-2026), we aim to improve our operations in environmental, social and governance aspects and to provide additional transparency for all stakeholders. Our strategy contains 25 goals in 5 different directions and a total of 148 measures to be implemented in the coming years.
