Bulmarket Reports ESG Results for 2022–2023

Bulmarket Group has published its first voluntary ESG report covering the period 2022–2023, outlining the company’s key initiatives in the areas of environmental protection, social responsibility, and sound corporate governance. The report highlights the progress made on a range of sustainability projects and forms part of the long-term corporate strategy, “ESG and a Sustainable Future 2021–2026.”

As a testament to its commitment to transparency and high accountability standards, Bulmarket underwent an independent audit of its 2022 data included in the report. As a result, the company received international certification from DQS GmbH Germany, one of the leading conformity assessment bodies, under the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard—confirming the accuracy and credibility of its reported greenhouse gas emissions.

The report showcases the company’s achievements in implementing sustainable business practices. In 2023, Bulmarket produced over 280,000 metric tons of biodiesel, marking a 59.2% increase compared to 2022. This includes both first- and second-generation biodiesel, underscoring the company’s commitment to the circular economy. At this stage, the impact of the use of biofuels is not yet included in the report, as a specific offset calculation methodology is under development and pending validation by the relevant authorities. The report also emphasizes sustainable investments made during the reporting period. A key milestone was the installation of in-house photovoltaic systems. In 2023, Bulmarket generated 1,530 MWh of solar energy, a sevenfold increase compared to 2022.

Another important aspect is the group’s contribution to human capital development. During the reporting period, the number of internal training sessions increased, focusing on workplace safety, production site procedures, and best practices. Additionally, in 2023, Bulmarket Academy was launched to support long-term skill and qualification development, offering professional courses in fields such as metalworking, chemical products, and industrial safety.

The publication of the ESG report reflects Bulmarket’s strong commitment to transparency, sustainable growth, and accountability towards the environment and society. The full document is available for viewing and download here:
